I-70 to Close - Important Traffic Advisory

All lanes of I-70 (Eastbound and Westbound) are to close at Noland Road from March 7, 2008 through March 9, 2008.

Overview : Improve Noland Road

The project consists of the replacement of the Noland Road Bridge at I-70 in Independence. A new Bridge and access ramps will be constructed in the same location to replace the existing bridge, which has deteriorated over 40 years of continuous use. Built in 1965, the existing bridge carries about 28,000 vehicles per day.

The new bridge and access ramps will be designed to accommodate projected increases in traffic flow in future years.
